Pets, Lost Animals & Licensing

Cat LicensingCats over seven months of age are licensed annually in February under the Town's current guidance.

Lost Pet PostingInclude a clear photo, general area last seen, date, pet description and safe contact method. Do not publish unnecessary personal information.
Found AnimalsUse caution when approaching an unknown or injured animal. Contact municipal/police resources for urgent animal-control concerns rather than attempting risky capture.

Official Legal Notices Are Separate

A community classified or personal notice is not the same thing as a legally required public notice. Beginning March 1, 2026, Dover publishes the complete text of its municipal legal notices on the Town's official website under its Legal Notices section.

Use the official source for: public hearings, municipal property matters, bids/RFPs, land-use notices and other notices published pursuant to law. NJTGO classifieds should not be relied upon as an official legal-notice service.
