Garage & yard sales in Netcong
Netcong requires a borough permit before holding a garage or yard sale. The borough's current public guidance sets several clear limits.
Apply at Borough Hall several days before the sale and receive the required permit.
A person or location generally may receive no more than two garage-sale licenses in a twelve-month period.
Each licensed sale may run no more than two consecutive calendar days.
Moving exception: A resident preparing to move from Netcong may receive one additional license if the sale is held within 90 days of the expected move date.
Signs may not be posted on public property. The borough also requires the issued license to be displayed prominently at the premises throughout the sale.

For a lost, found or roaming animal, a community post can help—but it should not be the only step. Netcong directs animal-control inquiries and reports through the Netcong Police Department, which coordinates major animal-control services with the Borough of Hopatcong.

To keep the marketplace useful and appropriate for a town-guide audience, NJTGO may reject, edit or remove listings that are unsafe, unlawful, deceptive or better suited to another section.

- Discriminatory housing or roommate language
- Commercial spam disguised as a personal listing
- Explicit or adult sexual content
- Listings that expose private information about another person

Submitting a Netcong classified
A useful submission should include a concise title, category, accurate description, approximate Netcong location, asking price if applicable, and safe contact information. Garage-sale ads should include the sale date and hours after the borough permit has been obtained.
Include condition, size, quantity, model or other details that help another resident decide whether to contact you.
Submissions should have a genuine connection to Netcong or the immediate surrounding area.
