Historic Norwood
Norwood grew from the northern wooded portion of historic Harrington Township into an independent borough while retaining several community institutions that predate incorporation.
The area developed within the historic Tappan Patent/Harrington Township landscape of northern Bergen County.
The Presbyterian Church in Norwood traces its founding to 1869 and remains an active multicultural congregation.
