2026 Rockaway Borough Town-Wide Yard Sale
The Rockaway Borough Historical Committee coordinates an annual Town-Wide Yard Sale, giving residents a single community date for household sales throughout the Borough.
The current Town-Wide Yard Sale is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The Historical Committee lists the 2026 event from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, rain or shine.
Participant applications must be received no later than September 8, 2026.
Community-wide eventThe Historical Committee manages registration and promotes the Borough-wide sale so shoppers can visit participating properties around town.
Ordinary private-sale rules: NJTGO did not verify a current Borough ordinance stating that every individual residential yard or garage sale requires a separate municipal permit. Residents should still follow applicable signage, parking, noise and property-use rules and check current Borough guidance before holding a sale.

Rockaway Borough provides animal-control services through a shared-services agreement with Randolph Township. A neighborhood post can help with a lost pet, but the official animal-control channels should also be used.

Borough Health services handle pet licensing at 973-627-2000 ext. 221. Dogs and cats seven months or older must be licensed.
2026 licensing reminderThe Borough states that dog and cat licenses are due by February 28 each year and require current rabies documentation. Newly acquired animals that reach licensing age must be licensed within the Borough's stated timeframe.

Submitting a Rockaway Borough classified
