Incorporated in 1948 from Buena Vista Township, the borough combines residential neighborhoods, agricultural roots, Route 40/Harding Highway commerce, the Wheat Road business corridor and a strong Italian-American community heritage.

About Buena Borough
Buena's present-day borough grew from communities shaped by South Jersey agriculture, glassmaking, transportation routes and Charles K. Landis-era development. Landisville developed in the nineteenth century, while Minotola grew around industry and settlement near Central Avenue. The borough was created in 1948 from part of Buena Vista Township.
