East Brunswick, New Jersey
East Brunswick is a 22.5-square-mile Middlesex County township with a population of 49,715 at the 2020 Census, a major Route 18 commercial corridor, extensive neighborhoods, a large public-school system, nearly 1,000 acres of parks and open space, and a growing recreation and arts network.
The township was established in 1860. Its modern identity reflects both older communities along Old Bridge Turnpike, Riva Avenue and Cranbury Road and the substantial suburban growth that followed the New Jersey Turnpike era.
