Garage & Estate Sales

NJTGO can publish Lincoln Park garage, yard and estate-sale notices when submitted by the organizer. A useful listing should include the date, hours, general location, major item categories and whether there is a rain date.

Before holding a sale: confirm any current sign, parking, right-of-way, temporary-use or other Borough requirements that may apply to your location. NJTGO did not find a current Borough source clearly establishing a general garage-sale permit requirement, so this page does not claim that one exists.

As of March 1, 2026, the Borough of Lincoln Park publishes its official public and legal notices on the municipal website in accordance with New Jersey law. NJTGO classifieds should not be used as a substitute for the Borough's official legal-notice page.

Lost Pets, Dog Licensing & Animal Control

For a lost or found pet, contact Lincoln Park Animal Control in addition to posting a community notice. The Borough also requires annual dog licensing.

Annual Dog LicenseDogs of licensing age must be licensed each January. Current fees are $20 for spayed/neutered dogs and $23 for unaltered dogs.

Late FeeA $15 late fee begins February 1 of the licensing year.

Rabies RequirementDogs over six months must have a current rabies vaccination meeting current licensing requirements.

Household LimitThe Borough states residents may not keep more than five dogs and/or cats without a kennel license.

Safe Buying & Selling

Meet in a safe, public location when practical and avoid inviting unknown buyers inside your home.
Do not accept overpayment checks or requests to send money back to a buyer.
Be wary of payment screenshots, fake escrow messages, gift-card payment and cryptocurrency requests.
Do not share Social Security numbers, bank credentials, account passwords or verification codes.
For expensive goods, document serial numbers, condition and the terms of the transaction.
For event tickets, confirm authenticity and transfer rules before paying.
For roommate listings, follow federal and New Jersey fair-housing requirements.

Items NJTGO Will Not Accept

Prohibited listings include: firearms, ammunition and weapon parts; explosives and fireworks; illegal or restricted weapons; controlled substances and recreational drugs; prescription medication; alcohol, tobacco and nicotine products; counterfeit or stolen goods; hazardous chemicals or poisons; pornography or adult sexual products; gambling services; surveillance/spyware products; wildlife or environmental contraband; and any illegal, fraudulent or unsafe transaction.

NJTGO may decline or remove any listing that presents a safety, legal, fraud or community-risk concern.

How to Write a Good Classified

Clear TitleState exactly what is being offered or wanted.

Useful DescriptionInclude condition, age, size, model, quantity and important limitations.

Fair PriceState the asking price or clearly say free, negotiable or wanted.

General LocationUse Lincoln Park or a neighborhood/general area; avoid publishing unnecessary private-address details.

PhotosEnhanced placements may support relevant images where appropriate.

Contact MethodUse a contact method you are comfortable making public and avoid exposing sensitive personal information.
