Lincoln Park by the Numbers
From Beavertown to Lincoln Park
The area that became Lincoln Park was historically known as Beavertown and was part of Pequannock Township. On March 11, 1922, Beavertown separated to form the Borough of Lincoln Park. Farming, the railroad, local industry and the surrounding river landscape all played roles in the borough's development.
Lincoln Park Community Lake & Beach Club
The Community Lake is one of Lincoln Park's signature public amenities. The borough acquired the former Wildan property in 1965 and dedicated it to recreation.
Parks, Playgrounds & Recreation
Current recreation also includes tennis and pickleball, basketball, fitness classes, summer camp, youth/PAL sports and seasonal programs.
Golf & Aviation

NJ TRANSIT & Transportation
Lincoln Park Station is on NJ TRANSIT's Montclair-Boonton Line at Main Street and Comly Road. The station currently has a ticket vending machine, bicycle racks and a 164-space NJ TRANSIT parking lot plus accessible parking.
Flooding & Two Rivers
Flood awareness is essential in Lincoln Park. The borough reports that approximately 68% of Lincoln Park is in the FEMA 100-year floodplain, largely because the Passaic River forms much of the southern boundary and the Pompton River forms the eastern boundary. Beaver Dam Brook and local drainage channels also contribute to risk.
