Middlesex

Middlesex Borough combines neighborhood streets, active parks, schools and a practical Route 28 / Union Avenue / Lincoln Boulevard business corridor in a compact 3.8-square-mile community.

The borough was incorporated on May 6, 1913 after separating from Piscataway Township. Today it sits at the western edge of Middlesex County, with convenient access to neighboring Somerset County communities and two nearby Raritan Valley Line stations outside the borough.
