About Middletown Township

Middletown is one municipality with many familiar postal and neighborhood names. Belford, Leonardo, Lincroft, Locust, Navesink, New Monmouth, North Middletown, Port Monmouth, River Plaza and other sections are part of the township even when their mailing address does not say “Middletown.” NJTGO uses the municipal boundary—not the postal city line—when deciding what belongs in this guide.
