Welcome to Oldmans Township

Oldmans Township was incorporated on February 7, 1881 from portions of Upper Penns Neck Township, now Carneys Point Township. Pedricktown is the township's principal village, while Auburn is the rural community along Oldmans Creek near the Gloucester County line.

Community note: Pedricktown and Auburn are communities within Oldmans Township, not separate municipalities. The 08067 Pedricktown postal address is used widely throughout the township.

Oldmans Creek Preserve

Auburn · 21 Main Street / Auburn-Pointers Road

The South Jersey Land & Water Trust's 39-acre preserve includes roughly 3,000 feet of Oldmans Creek frontage, old-growth forest, trails, a 1790s-era house, historic camp remnants and canoe/kayak access. The property formerly served as Camp Kimble and later Auburn Hills Campground.

Cold storage, packaging, industrial services, trucking and manufacturing give Oldmans a much larger employment base than its population might suggest.

Clara Barton Service Area

The southbound New Jersey Turnpike plaza at milepost 5.4 was rebuilt and reopened in 2024 with food, fuel, EV charging and 24-hour travel services.

John Fenwick Service Area

The northbound companion plaza at milepost 5.4 was also rebuilt in 2024 and is the first Turnpike service area for northbound drivers entering New Jersey.
