History, parks & recreation

Vincentown Historic District

Historic Main, Mill and Church streets preserve a compact village landscape recognized on the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places. The district’s documented period of significance extends from 1790 to 1935.

Recreation

Southampton Township Recreation Association organizes local youth sports and community recreation. The township also maintains community, shade-tree and historic-preservation resources.

Cemeteries & memorial history

Vincentown Baptist Cemetery is associated with First Baptist Church of Vincentown and the community’s nineteenth-century history. Historic records note the church acquired cemetery land in 1849 and later expanded it.
